Sébastien Chebassier is a French director based in the southwest of France. After audiovisual studies, he traveled around the world, having many different encounters which led him to settle near the ocean and set up his studio. Influenced by photographers like Gregory Crewdson, Helmut Newton, and Sebastiao Salgado, he focuses his work and attention on the storytelling of the picture. Each shot tells something while leaving interpretation open to the viewer. Sébastien says surprise can sometimes be the most important aspect of his work when catching a precious moment, defined by Cartier-Bresson as "the decisive moment."
