Sam Thackeray is a guide from McCall, Idaho. He leads trips for Payette Powder Guides and also teaches avalanche courses. In the summer, Sam guides rafts on the Colorado River running through the Grand Canyon. Suffice it to say, he's seen some of the West's most wild places.
