Ruben Gonzalez is 36 years old and still competing in the National Contests, making some finals with the youngsters, and a few WQS events, just to stay updated on modern surfing. He's won four National Titles, and was in the Top 100 in the Triple Crown. Nowadays, he does more freesurf sessions at home, doing Billabong training camps for kids, surfing as many slabs and perfect waves as he can.
