Phil Schlieder is a Cascadian filmmaker and surfer based in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. He sits on the Oregon Surfrider Board and works closely with many different non-profits both domestic and internationally. Surfing and cameras to him are tools to spread positivity worldwide. He is a big believer in the opportunity the surfing community has to impact many of the developing nations that phenomenal surf is located. Whether it be bringing water filtration systems, healthcare, education, and micro-finance lending programs to these areas, these are the stories he wants to see told. A surfboard is just the means of getting there.
