Pete is an avid longboarder, hiker, and musician. As a child growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, he was often perplexed by summertime Lake Erie beach closures and horrific tales of the nearby Cuyahoga River catching on fire due to pollution. An interest in taking action to preserve nature was instilled at a young age. A California resident since 2005, he enthusiastically supports a healthy open discussion on balancing population growth with environmental conservation. When not in the ocean or on the mountain, Pete runs an insurance consulting business.
