Described as “impressionist photography”, much of her art lives at the intersection between brush- painting and traditional documentary-style photography. Nicole Boramanand creatively applies conventional photographic technique to familiar scenes in a way that places mood over detailed subject. Her creative inspiration comes from the "being human" experience we all share, the art of interpretation, and the beautiful coastal environment of Southern California. Nicole’s ocean and beach life-inspired images have been shown in local art and surf galleries, and featured at the Surfrider Art Gala and Longboard Luau. Nicole lives in Ocean Beach with her husband, Jim, and their dogs, Elvis and Milo.
