Growing up in Western Australia, Michael has enjoyed the great breaks that the Southwest WA coastline has to offer. He started out fixing dings and sweeping floors before getting a “real job” as a race mechanic. Michael continued to shape on the side, experimenting with board shapes and new materials before returning to the industry full time. He is the founder of Bilton Surfboards, now living in Queensland, Australia. He is shaping and surfing as much as he can.
