Matt is a native Texan who grew up surfing the less than ideal waves on Galveston Island. A hunger to explore new places and better waves led Matt to California for college and then to Maui after graduation. Matt somehow found himself back in Austin, TX where he's a full time firefighter and Founder of Wavecation.com, which is dedicated to helping surfers find the best surf accommodations around the world.
