Matt Beahan is a writer, musician and surfer who lives in Dunsborough in Western Australia's south west with his wife and two kids. Matt spends his time surfing the amazing waves of the Yallingup/Margaret River region and working on improving water quality in the local estuaries and rivers. He has written articles for street press music magazines and has been the lyricist, songwriter and singer in a number of bands in the Perth indie music scene. Matt has been immersed in surf culture for the past 26 years. Growing up he spent his weekends on surf trips with his old man Frank, who incidentally was part of the first crew to surf the Bluff and Gnaraloo back in the 70s. From the Momentum, VHS, and surf magazine era to the web clip, Vimeo and live webcast era he has witnessed the progression of the sport. Matt writes with creativity combined with a dose of humour, honesty and controversy to keep readers captivated.
