Kevin Schultz was born and raised on (not in - an important distinction) Long Island and currently resides in Long Beach. He grew up around the water both in the pool and at the beach. He got his start in sports photography with a dinky 2-megapixel digital camera photographing the pre-game skate at New York Islanders games when they were the worst team in hockey. Over the years, that has manifested itself into sports photography and in writing for a multitude of sports blogs.
