Originally from Point Pleasant, NJ, I started surfing when I was 6 and have always been interested in marine conservation. I graduated from Flagler college in 2016 with a degree in Coastal Environmental Science and Economics. I am currently working at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, FL as a Sea Turtle Nesting Field Technician. My job entails that I conduct daily beach surveys for sea turtle crawls and nests. A marking scheme is used to mark nests so that only a percentage of the nests are marked, and those nests are then monitored daily until the nests hatch.
