Julie Nelson was raised in a small town tucked away on the coast of Oregon. Her salty roots and passion for creativity took her to the University of Oregon where she graduated in the school Journalism & Communications. For years she was lost behind the lens of a camera, found climbing Smith Rock, passing hours in the pottery lab, giving surf lessons and always searching for a new adventure. Fours years ago that search landed her on the island of Oahu where she has been working for a non-profit humanitarian organization, Surfing The Nations, ever since. While at Surfing The Nations Julie has lead their leadership school, directed their surf department, staffed their Internship and pioneered their online blog. With each job Julie has had and the opportunities it has given her she strives to always, live a life of passion.
