Josh Jacoby grew up in Media, PA just outside of Philly. He spent most of his time skating, but discovered that falling on concrete in the dead of winter takes a toll on the body. Snowboarding was a nice substitute every now and then. He fell in love with the vertical aspect of skateboarding which he feels is the closest thing to riding a wave. About a year after high school, he moved to NJ I started surfing. He looked at it as a way to hang out with his family... and so the story goes. He had no idea something like surfing could change a persons general out look on life. He currently runs a NJ surf publication called Moondoggie Magazine that specializes in shooting events and competitions for corporate sponsors. Moondoggie has been the official photographer for the Eastern Surfing Association since 2009.
