Jay is a former pro bodyboarder based in San Clemente, California, originally from Ocean City, Maryland. He has held a host of other jobs in his adult life as well including substitute teacher, radio DJ, TV color commentator and sometimes beach announcer for the Bud Surf Tour and other surfing and bodyboarding events, and is currently the owner of an online bodyboard shop along with his wife Vicki, also a former pro bodyboarder. Jay spends his free time trail running, bodyboarding, shortboarding and longboarding and still claims to spend at least 225 days a year in the ocean.
