Jan Bernard was born in Mexico City and raised in a town called Veracruz, south of the Gulf of Mexico. He studied Communications Sciences at the University of Veracruz and has been collaborating for the past 13 years with Planeta Surf Magazine. Last year, he made his pilgrimage and moved to Puerto Escondido in order to pursue his long life dream to surf big hollow waves at the Mexican Pipeline.
