Guillaume Barucq is a 38-year-old surfer and doctor of medicine from France. Barucq works as a General Practitioner in Biarritz near the best surfing spots of the Basque Coast, and has published a study on surfing-related traumatology based on 350 patients admitted to the hospital after surfing accidents in the South West of France. He is the editor of the website www.Surf-Prevention.com, a website dedicated to surfing, health and environment. He writes articles about surfing safety, "surfology", and health tips to surf at your best. He is the author of the books "Surfers’ Survival Guide" and "Surf Therapy" (only available in French at the moment). Barucq also studies the benefits of surfing for health and the different medical applications of “Surf Therapy” for people with disabilities, autism, cystic fibrosis and other diseases.
