Having grown up on the south coast of Devon, England, Gregory has been in and out of the water all of his life with a particular passion for long boarding.The interaction with the ocean and nature from an early age profoundly affected his outlook on life and eventually led to career focused on the concept of sustainable development. Today, Gregory is a researcher, lecturer and author on many different areas that relate to sustainable development. In particular, he is interested in how the risk of climate change is communicated and what impact this has on behaviour. Currently lecturing at Plymouth University, Gregory is convener of the Plymouth Sustainability and Surfing Research Group
