He checks Oxnard Shores every day at dawn across the street from his home, where he lives with wife Heidi and dog Otis. He’s the guy behind the annual Rincon Invitationals and the Surfing Arts, Science, and Issues Conferences. Oh, and he was the guy who signed the papers that started Surfrider.
