Dan Hamlin is a freelance writer and surfer from the Central Coast of California. He has appeared in and written for surf publications both nationally and internationally. He loves working with kids and has coached a middle school surf team, worked in a classroom for special needs children, and helped with a number of different youth organizations. He currently resides in California where he writes a column for Deep Magazine.
