Chip Colwell is Senior Curator of Anthropology at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. He is also a lecturer at the University of Colorado Denver. He received his PhD from Indiana University, and held fellowships with Archaeology Southwest, American Academy of Arts & Sciences, National Endowment for the Humanities, and U.S. Fulbright Program. He has published more than 50 articles and book chapters, and 9 books, many of which have received honors, including the National Council on Public History Book Award and the Gordon R. Willey Prize of the American Anthropological Association. He is the editor-in-chief of SAPIENS (www.sapiens.org).
