Alice Louise Blunden is a London-based Yoga Medicine teacher, primary school teacher, Teach First ambassador, language lover, kitesurfer, windsurfer, skier and traveller. Since qualifying as a yoga teacher, she has taught group and private classes across London and is a regular writer for Mind Body Green. She is a valued member of the Yoga Medicine assistants and senior teachers team and travels internationally to support her teacher, Tiffany Cruikshank, in advanced Yoga Medicine trainings. Assisting Tiffany has deepened Alice's knowledge of the body and how yoga can be used as a medicine. Emphasis on mindfulness in her classes encourages individuals to listen to what they need to ensure that their practice is as nourishing as possible. Before teaching Yoga, Alice worked as a primary school teacher in inner-city state schools in London. For this reason, it has been Alice’s intent to bring yoga to schools and the wider community; in particular to children and families in deprived areas of England’s capital. She is the founder of The Yoga Project UK, a company that connects inspiring yoga teachers with schools across London. Born and brought up by the sea, when Alice isn’t working in London, she is drawn to the beach! As a result, she spends most weekends and holidays teaching yoga classes designed specifically for kitesurfers, surfers and windsurfers as well as enjoying some SUP yoga on the South coast of England and abroad.
