The Inertia

If you have never ridden dry slope, you really need to — it is all kinds of different from ripping real snow. But that is not the point of this post; rather, the point is to shine a light on Sheffield Ski Village, a nationally-renowned mountain that was “a key piece in the journey of some of the UK’s best freestyle skiers to the top of their sport, including James Woods, James Machon, Ellie Koyander and Katie Summerhayes, all of whom are now Team GB athletes.”

Anyway, hoping to bring attention to the charred remains of what once was in an attempt to raise awareness and support for its resurrection, Salt-Street productions took two skiers and one snowboarder to the slope and let them run the course. Needless to say, the haunting ruins of the abandoned facility made for a rather interesting backdrop… almost like a glimpse into our post-apocalyptic future.
