Hurricane Marie came in like a lion. And, as it made landfall in Malibu (among other places), Laird Hamilton was there to snatch up plenty of its energy. He even shot the pier. Here’s a different angle on the same day – from above the iconic Surfrider Beach. This is what I shot before my heli took a dive.
