Nobody really knew what to expect from Hurricane Hermine, but in the end it delivered.
This summer felt like one of the slowest in years, with few waves and minimal swell action. We were all due for something. Then Hermine came and made Labor Day one of the most fun days of 2016. A bunch of good friends got together and we all headed to Long Beach. The waves looked epic. Perfect offshore winds and plenty of peaks for everyone – what a sight. By three in the afternoon everyone was already surfed out, but there was still a solid evening session in store for us.
Perfect a frames broke throughout and the end of the day was just magical. Waves, wind, sun, clouds; it all came together for a picture perfect view with the best swell of the season dancing for us and a rainbow shining through to top it off.
Thanks Hermine, for bringing us so much Joy. We will remember you for a long time.
