Dane Reynolds, who has yet to surf an event on the 2011 ASP World Tour, announced on Monday that he will not be competing in the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach due to a knee injury he incurred surfing on the North Shore of Oahu in December.
The injury required surgery – from which he is still recovering. According to his manager, Reynolds plans to compete at the Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro.
“Dane will not be attending Bells, but he is hoping his knee will be better by the time the PRIME event comes to Lowers in May,” confirmed Blair Marlin, Reynolds’ manager.
