When you go on a surf trip somewhere new, it’s nice to have a local around to show you the ins and outs. Take, for example, Ben Gravy. When he goes to Hawaii, he has Jamie O’Brien at his side, giving him tips and keeping him out of trouble. But when the tables are turned and Jamie O’Brien goes to New Jersey… well, Ben’s there to extend the same courtesy. Only Ben’s courtesy involves paddling out at El Slammo and ferry surfing. Which, along with Tina Cohen, is exactly what they did. And although El Slammo wasn’t exactly good, they still had a hell of a time.
