Jackson Hole’s Rendevouz Mountain has been a central figure in the progression of skiing and snowboard, its “ragged elegance” a destination for mountain men the world over. And it is in that vein that the seemingly endless processional of deep snow and steep drops has pumped both innumerable memories and an innovative spirit into the lifeblood of slope sports.
In celebrating their quinquagenary (that’s a real word, look it up) they turned to none other than the video team over at Teton Gravity Research. And for the sake of giving credit where credit’s due — our friends over at TGR know how to make one hell of an edit. From powder shots…
…to sharp carves by hometown boy Travis Rice…
…as well as a showing of the more aggressive locals…
…the crew did Jackson Hole right. And don’t think they forgot about Corbet’s Couloir.
But, to be honest, it would be rather difficult to put together a weak edit when you’re working with a meccas of slope sports. Resort co-founder Paul McCollister’s vision? “A lot of vertical.”
