Brazilian charger and big-wave hellman, Ricardo dos Santos remains in serious condition after an altercation that occurred at Embaú Guard beach this morning. According to Hardcore.com.br, witnesses stated that the altercation occurred when Ricardo tried to stop a group of people from doing drugs and playing loud music on beach. The dispute ended with Ricardo being shot 3 times and airlifted to the regional hospital St. Joseph in Florianópolis where he is scheduled to undergo emergency surgery.

— The Santa Catarina athlete Ricardo dos Santos was shot in the Embaú Guard in Palhoça ( SC ) on the morning of Monday, after an argument. Ricardinho took three shots. Two reached the chest area and another shot hit the back. The Santa Catarina would have been promptly attended by the Fire Department and airlifted to the regional hospital St. Joseph in Florianópolis ( SC ) . His condition is serious and he is undergoing a surgery at this time . Many surfers are in the hospital to hear new information, including the Adriano de Souza .

According to unofficial information , three people were arrested. One was reported to be an officer of Joinville, identified as ‘Motta’.
In a report released by Ndonline , Ricardinho approached a drug using group to ask them to avoid making the use of narcotics on the beach , as many families are carried on the site.”
