Have you ever noticed it takes at least three or four sound bites to understand what the heck people are talking about in a given episode of #TourNotes? It just opens with a completely out of context answer to a question we didn’t even know was asked. Insert the rough cut to somebody else’s remark on the same subject. And then, right when you’re starting to catch on, let’s switch it up and start talking about something else completely different.
This is what gave us a morning surf with everybody figuring out if and when to make the call for the final day at Margaret River, Kolohe surfing switch, a handful of bumps and bruises for competitors, and the almighty shark scare that may or may not have been a “scare.” Nobody can blame the WSL for playing it safe and putting everything on hold when a shark was spotted cruising the lineup, but that doesn’t mean the surfers themselves were stressed…except for maybe Kolohe.
