I’ve always thought that really good longboarding is the art of almost falling down gracefully. It’s full of speed-changes mixed with flow, balance and off-balance, and quick little adjustments that require much more forethought than shortboarding. Also, it seems, longboarding has more emphasis on pure fun and less on performance. Of course, when performance meets fun by accident, you get a great longboarder. Such is the case with Australian log-jammer Nicholas Maguire.
