Trestles and San Onofre are calling on the public to help persuade the Regional Water Quality Control Board to deny the TCA’s regretfully anticipated toll road. Surfers and activists have come together to prevent plans in the past. In 2008, 3,500 people showed up to a public hearing in which the Coastal Commission was persuaded to deny the plan. We fully believe that we can do it again!
If the TCA does succeed in persuading the Water Quality Control Board to build the first section of the toll road, it will only be a matter of time before the road is built down to San Onofre and Trestles.
We are hoping that the surf community can come together and take a big stand. The meeting starts at 1:00pm on June 19th at 9174 Sky Park Court, San Diego, California, 92123. Public comment will be taken shortly after. Surfrider will also be hosting a sign making party on June 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 at 9883 Pacific Heights Blvd, Suite D, San Diego, California.
On June 19th, lets shut this toll road down once and for all. To stay up to speed, visit savetrestles.surfrider.org
