I am a photographer and a surfer. I have been surfing for over ten years, but prior to that I was a bodyboarder. I’ve never lived further than two miles from the beach, and I honestly feel I’m addicted to the ocean. I’ve always tried to take a photojournalistic approach to documenting the surfing culture at the Jersey Shore. I feel that each photo should tell a story, that some surfing shots aren’t meant to be shot at 10 frames a second. I apply that feeling to my other photographic works as well. My ultimate goal would be to write a book about winter surfing at the New Jersey Shore and the perils surfers face in search of a decent wave.
