The Inertia

Groggy and sleep deprived, we all crawled out of bed at three o’ clock in the morning to begin the journey to Nicaragua. One of our good buddies Brock Crouch was staying up at Colorados and we decided to go swing by on the tail end of the Costa Rica trip.

After an hour and a half car ride and an hour taxi ride, we finally arrived at the gate of Hacienda Iguanas. Luckily, we were in store for a couple days of fun surf and messing around.

Each morning we were greeted with perfect three-to-four foot Colorados —three days into it and we were surfed out. After a month in Costa Rica and three days of non-stop surfing, we were stoked to wrap up the trip and head home. On the last day, the swell died, so before our taxi left Colorados we packed the whole crew onto our two motorcycles and mobbed around. Sketchy is an understatement for riding on the back of an old diatribe with nothing to hold onto but a GoPro trying to film your friends as close as you can. Thankfully we survived and only put a few divots in the golf course (sorry guys…) and continued on our journey home.

Nicaragua put an end to our Central American adventures, however, we are heading to Woodward at Copper next to swap the boards out for some summer time shredding! Looking forward to sharing those adventures next!
