Eat your heart out, Johnny Utah. 17-year-old Teahupoo local, Matahi Drollet, stole the show at The End of the Road during filming for Point Break 2. The young Drollet is the brother of local stand-out Manoa Drollet, and the similarities in their charging couldn’t be more apparent. The brothers Drollet were the only two tow surfers not involved in the production and absolutely stole the show making monstrous barrels and putting their local knowledge on full display.
Unfortunately, the day wasn’t all celebrations as Laurie Towner experienced the wrath of Teahupoo and ended up in the hospital. He seems to be on the mend and we’re hoping everything’s on the up and up for him after quite a scare.
