Editor’s Note: Peter’s images were taken during a photography workshop in Bali. Led by an absolute titan in the surf photography world, Art Brewer, the workshop ran throughout June, and included some of the finest up-and-comers on the planet. The combination of landscapes, culture, and surfing in Indonesia lends itself perfectly to finding a new depth in the student’s work. In the coming weeks, we’ll be showcasing the work of the students at the workshop. And trust us when we say that, under Art Brewer’s tutelage, these are some of the best images you’ve seen. Peter Alsted is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He holds an MA in Media Science from the University of Copenhagen, and he was a cinematographer on the documentary film LAAMB. He has directed, filmed and produced various videos for web for different clients, commercially and for non-profit. Previously worked as camera assistant on commercials, shorts and feature films. He’s the author of the novel Sorte Scener, and he’s written a number of short stories and children’s books as well.
