The Inertia

San Clemente’s Kolohe Andino is sidelined until summer’s end with an ankle injury. After a week out of the water due to a tweaked hip, Andino paddled out at Riveria with his Dad, Dylan Goodale, and Morgan Maasen. Following a full rotation air, he landed too far into the flats and suffered a grade-3 high ankle sprain with a grade 2-3 Lisfranc ligament tear.

This comes on the shoulders of a 2012 year that, so far, has been less than spectacular. After a 2011 year that saw him win two 4-Stars and three 6-Stars and qualify for the ASP World Championship Tour, Brother was surrounded in hype. In 2012 Andino has only posted two heat wins after four events, and currently sits at No. 26 on the ASP World Championship Tour rankings.

Look for him back in the water around late-August.
