This year’s Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal has been a little shaky so far. Conditions haven’t exactly shaped up yet (for the event site, anyway), and stormy conditions have plagued the contest from the first day of the waiting period. But just because those stormy conditions are wreaking havoc in front of the judging booth doesn’t mean that they’re not whipping up some big waves elsewhere. John John Florence Peter Mel, and Strider Wasilewski scrounged up a few big wave boards and paddled into a few wild and wooly monsters for a lay day evening session.
