When Kelly Slater dropped his latest edit, the internet blew up. It blew up because he (well, he along with a LOT of other people) created something the surf world has been talking about and trying to create for decades. There is a lot of mystery surrounding his amazing man made wave, though. First and foremost… where the hell is it?
Kelly dropped a few hints in the clip, but it was the internet society that might’ve really figured it out. After falling down a very deep internet wormhole for a few hours, I thought I might’ve found the address, so I took to Google Earth and had a look. And yes, there is something at the address I found that resembles a wave pool. “This is our little secret spot,” Kelly said in the video. “About 110 miles from the coast.”
Lemoore, California is just over 100 miles from the coast. There’s not a whole there, except for what might be the future of competitive surfing. While I’m not going to come out with the address–let’s keep a little bit of the secret spot intact–with a little digging, you can find it yourself.
