Hector Santamaria probably isn’t a man you’ve heard of. He’s different than many surfers–that is to say he doesn’t care in the slightest about what other surfers think. He’s an incredibly talented surfer, to boot–not that he cares if you know it or not. What this video doesn’t show you a lot of is Santamaria’s personality: he’s a vibrant, always-smiling, slightly strange (in a very good way) person.
In the video above, Eye Symmetry paired up with Dimitri Srjuchin, a New York based artist. They made three models, then watched as Hector surfed each one along southern Australia’s coastline.
