Last night, we introduced The Inertia’s new and only-improved publishing platform the best way we know how — a rooftop throwdown overlooking our home base of Venice. With the day’s winds making our new flag dance, we were joined by our favorite people in and around Los Angeles to revel in the transformation of surfing’s definitive community. And guess who came to dinner? Philadelphia’s resident surfer and harmonica-totin’ musician, G. Love! There to promote G. Love and Special Sauce’s upcoming album Sugar (with an April 22 release date), and simply being a damn good guy, he played our team and friends into a frenzy, a frenzy that Party Boy Scout DJ’d through the night. And — with plenty of Red Bull, PBR and tacos from Venice’s best taco truck to keep spirits high — we danced our legs numb. Did we mention there was a photo booth?
Special thanks to the ridiculously generous partners of the night who kept the aloha vibes rolling: Red Bull, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Bushmills, TOMS, Aviator Nation, Farm League, Brushfire Records and G. Love, Promo Jam, Buried Life Entertainment, GoFlow, Pop Chips, Kippy’s Ice Cream, and to Foxtales for the ultra rad photo booth.
What a night.
