It doesn’t matter if you’re one of the best skiers in the world, or if you’re a a snowboarding phenom; getting barreled always sounds like a good time. I don’t know if a guy like Gus Kenworthy would really come down from the mountains, trade in his skis and move to Tahiti in search of waves, but you have to figure it’s worth the conversation.
When Keala Kennelly, Carissa Moore and Bethany Hamilton were nominated for ESPY Awards earlier this summer I figured we, The Inertia, should be there with them. Who else in the surf industry is going to throw on suits and ties for sports’ version of the Academy Awards? But then again what in the world am I going to talk to Lebron James and Cam Newton about, The Eddie?
