Sometimes you just need a little time away from Tour life. I saw Coco was back on the Gold Coast after Bells and texted her to see if she was keen to catch up to do some filming. It was pretty much a circus, as the hungry Snapper crowd devoured anything and everything in sight. The swell was rapidly fading, but Coco braved the masses and put on a clinic that showed why – whatever her ranking, whatever the year – she is considered one of the most respected and finest female surfers on the planet.
