The Inertia

Dean “Dingo” Morrison is a bit of a legend. Sure, he’s a legend for burning people, but he’s also a legend for his surfing. Powerful, full of finesse and a barrel riding par excellence, Morrison has been heavily involved with surfing since he was 8-years-old. He lived with Rabbit Bartholomew when he was a teen, and that influence is visible in his surfing to this day.

Although at one point in his career Morrison was on the Tour, he’s never been one for competition. That’s not to say that he wasn’t successful at it, though. In 2003, he beat Kelly Slater and Occy to win the Quiksilver Pro at Snapper rocks. He maintained his position in the middle of the ranks until 2010, then concentrated on waves instead of winning. Which, of course, means he’s winning.
