This is crazy. Mental. Whatever you want to call it — it will absolutely throw you off your rocker. Be sure that no one is going to bother you for 15 minutes, ’cause you’re not going to be in the mood to be distracted once you start watching this ridiculous edit. It’s a locked door, closed blinds, lights off sort of edit. Not the kind you find on the sites you keep deleting from your browser history, but your reaction to this video will probably be same.
Basically, Koa and Alex Smith, Travis Smith, and Alex Goodale headed to Africa to chase one of the best waves in the world, all the while snagging a lil’ footage for us less fortunate types. Granted, they slowed it down in the editing room, but the first barrel is two minutes long. TWO MINUTES. And you have to love Koa’s outsized stoke when he gets shacked in his own. At the 8:10 mark, the boys even drove alongside one of those insane barrels to check its speed — they clocked at 40 miles per hour! We’d ride a camel from Los Angeles to see that for ourselves…
