The Inertia

You generally wouldn’t associate Chris Burkard with “small.” His larger-than-life photography extends far beyond the edges of his images, often transporting us to the remote, far-off lands. Therein lies his talent — the ability to offer us a glimpse into a world we wouldn’t have experienced otherwise, whatever our lens’s dimensions are.

His latest exhibition, A Gallery for Ants, is exactly what it sounds like: an ant-sized gallery, with framed photos only a few inches in size. Utilizing Olloclip‘s lens technology, gallery-goers are able zoom into the photographs in the dollhouse-sized exhibit. The renowned surf and outdoor photographer shares insight into his latest project, and the technology that puts the power to take beautiful images of the outdoors at everyone’s fingertips.
