Brad Domke has surfed nearly every heavy wave on the planet. Without fins, no less! When he arrived on the Islands, Domke set out to accomplish one thing and one thing only: skimboard Jaws. Big Jaws. Proper Pe’ahi. As you can tell, he did just that. Here’s what the elated Domke had to say to The Inertia about his noble feat:
The most action I’ve ever had in one day in my life, for sure. My experience at Jaws was the most entertaining, action packed day of my life probably. Watching Bethany Hamilton – what a legend – towing into Pe’ahi like a beast. Niccolo Porcella’s wipeout on his kite was like seeing an alien or something. Something you might never see again. He flew into the lip as if he planned it. And even Francisco Porcella hoped on my skimboard for a left. We lost one skim and one surfboard that session, but we were the luckiest guys ever. At the end of the day we went for a hike down at the beach at Peahi. – Brad Domke
