Ask any Israeli surfer and they’re proudly going to tell you how good their beaches can get on the right day. “Sure,” you’ll think with a patronizing inner monologue. “Even the Great Lakes dudes think they’ve got it good too.”
You smug bastard. We all know waves show up in all shapes and sizes all over the globe. Sometimes it just takes seeing to believe. But if you surf Dromi, like this horde of people did earlier this week, you already know the memo got passed through the entire Mediterranean. And they don’t need to be told twice that there is fun surf in town. At least that’s the impression we’re getting with this footage because it’s clear everybody and their mom showed up at Dromi to get in on some of the fun-sized beachy barrels and punchy closeouts.
