While this Maxim shoot might be yet another opportunity to contribute to the on-going conversation surrounding the portrayal of women in surf (and in this case the portrayal of women surfers in mainstream media), the girl is an adult and free to do whatever she damn well pleases. And if it happens to be aesthetically pleasing to fans and viewers, consider it a win-win.
