With the first surf trip of the summer wrapped up, Costa Rica was on the horizon. A month of chaos awaited as we boarded the plane down to Central America. We rented a house for the month and didn’t have anything planned except to surf as much as we could and to explore.
For Brandon Davis and me, going down to Costa Rica for a month was a total change in pace from bouncing around the contest scene during the winter. We were fortunate enough to score epic waves the entire trip and we got to go explore some amazing places.
Even though it technically was the “rainy” season, it only rained a handful of times throughout the month — we were blessed with perfect weather most of the time.
By the end of the month I couldn’t believe our rental car survived after rallying it through the monkey trails nearly every day. With a couple more dings in our quiver we wrapped up Costa Rica with one last session out on the boat at Witch’s Rock. Costa Rica is such a beautiful country I am in awe every time I go back. Hope you guys enjoyed the shenanigans and be on the look for the next episode where we venture up to Nicaragua to meet up with some buddies!
