Oahu is best known for the North Shore. It’s the seven-mile miracle, including Pipeline, Sunset beach, and a pile of other world class waves. But the rest of island has waves, too–and that’s where 16-year-old Brisa Hennessy is from. “It’s beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear blue water,” she says. “I wouldn’t want to be living anywhere else.”
Just because she loves home doesn’t mean she doesn’t love traveling, though. On a recent trip to Bali, she put her nose to the grindstone and found a whole new gear in her surfing. With a pocketful of a National Championship titles and a passport brimming with stamps, Brisa has her eyes on the world tour… and it’s more than likely we’ll be seeing her there.
